Done the math on FH vs DIVH for TLI from LEO for Orion and ESM injection. Keep in mind I assumed Orion was in 200km circular LEO whereas DIVH or FH could place Orion in a higher orbit. @SciGuySpace@Erdayastronaut@DJSnM Feel free to check my math here. docs.google.com/spreadsheets…
This may be confusing, but I can demonstrate it to you in graphs, below is a graph of the performance of the DIVH upper stage and the FH compared visually, note the two axises, delta V and payload, the more payload, the less Delta V and vice versa.
The green is DIVH and FH is in blue, note FH will always have the edge up until that intercept point, where DIVH has an advantage, this intercept point however is 748kg, meaning that any payload heavier than 748kg would have more performance on FH over DIVH.
