With a central pressure of 947.9hPa observed at Baltasound, Shetland, the Met Office has confirmed Storm Amy has set a new record for the lowest October pressure recorded at a land station in the UK.

Storm Amy broke records overnight - Baltasound hit 947.9 hPa, provisionally the lowest October pressure ever recorded at a UK land station, beating Muckle Flugga’s 950.9 hPa in 1988.

Spring tree #pollen levels remained high last week (25 Feb-3 Mar) in #Leicester. Alder pollen remained high on the warm dry days, peaking on 2nd. Hazel, elm & poplar pollens were present at low levels while Yew pollen was very high. #Hayfever

I have to say @Morgan_Brind and team have put on quite the panto this year, we all very much laughed our way through their Boxing Day performance. Great to see the local dance schools represented. We loved it, oh yes we did!!!
