We must let go at the thought that learning English as an additional language in school is a problem. #bilingualism is an asset.

Think-Pair-Share has the widest gap between success and failure in the classroom. With clear prompts, tight timing, and real accountability, it’s a powerhouse for thinking. Toss it in without intentional design and it collapses into noise. With TPS, intentionality is everything.
THINK-PAIR-SHARE! A well-structured Think–Pair–Share routine can significantly boost participation, thinking, and the quality of student responses. This week’s ⚗️DistillED includes this FREE handy resource designed to help students master the WHAT, WHY, and HOW of the process. GRAB IT HERE! 👇 newsletter.jamieleeclark.com…

Teachers hold the 🔑 key to lesson accessibility. Will all students have access? Can every student participate and engage? It’s not enough to make the content available. #teaching #teachingenglish #teachingideas

Happy Motivational Monday 🌟 Let’s remember that bilingual students bring rich knowledge, culture, and lived experiences into every classroom they enter. Their voices matter. Their stories belong. Nuestro idioma no es un obstáculo — es una fortaleza. 📚💛🫶🏽

What does winter mean to you? What do you do in the winter? Through a culturally inclusive approach, students' voices are lifted and encouraged, and their experiences and traditions are shared. The winter holidays may not look and feel the same for each family. Not every student will go on a vacation or wake up to presents under a tree. But each will have experiences and traditions. We just need to uncover what those traditions are. Let's be curious! #teaching #ESL #RootEDLinguistics #TESOL #ELLs #ESOL #multilingual #bilingualkids #education #multilingualism #diversityandinclusion #inclusionmatters
