Most people actually don’t. And it doesn’t have anything to do with how long you’ve known each other. Are they friendly? That’s an acquaintance. Are they nice to be around? Still an acquaintance. Are they loyal? That’s a friend. Do you see them often? Still a friend. Would they die for you? That’s a brother.
