What a completely exquisite piece of work that could only be created from a deep love & understanding of the natural world. A beautifully written account is worth reading on @CallumGRobinson 's website at callumrobinson.org/journal/c…. I can't stop staring. I love everything about it😍

Covid and the brain, mega thread:

On the left, a current headline. On the right, a headline from July 2020. We’ve known Covid causes serious brain disorders since 2020. We ignored it all and forcibly infected everyone anyway. Regular reinfections are now expected & normalized. washingtonpost.com/health/20…

After a few Covid infections, a year of no precautions, & no shortage of powerful propaganda, people I love are no longer recognizable. They’ve become entirely new people, & it’s not just from “moving on.” This is something else. These are dramatic personality changes.

Quote from yesterday: "you can remove that mask, there's nobody here"

The infected person could leave the room and you could walk into an empty room and breathe in the virus particles that you didn't even know were there. If you inhale enough particles, the virus can enter the cells in your respiratory tract and infect them, giving you COVID-19. 7/

People don’t connect childhood trauma to adult behaviors because they don’t fully understand what’s traumatic when you’re a child. As children, we don’t have logic, we only have feelings A thread 🧵:

Whoa. I'm suddenly having another "why did I let my fear get in the way of all those opportunities I had, just to end up in this dumpster fire called IT" day. It would seem I'm actually crying. This is good. One day I'll break. And start from scratch. And make my own decisions.

I didn't know @Twitter did this, and I approve.

We've been using the 3M Aura ones (if you can, get them in bulk and wait for demand to be low for better pricing). We swap them after 2-4 hours of active use (depending on how moist they got). Lots of surface area, very good fit for many different face shapes. Go get 'em.
TO THOSE WHO STILL WANT TO AVOID COVID: We’re in a one-way masking world now. Therefore, it’s time to upgrade your respirators. Cloth and surgical masks (and even some KN95s and N95) simply won’t suffice. Here’s a 🧵 on some of the best masks you can get:
