African swine fever is caused by intensive pig farming. Slaughtering wildlife is not the answer. Eradicating a native keystone species such wild boar creates devastating ecological effects. On @BBCr4today just now , dairy farmer says ‘we are sat on top of two robots , these cows (115) don’t go out , they are housed 365 days a year . . . we allow them to visit the robots (milking machines) when they want’ .
