Labour have: - Taken away the Winter Fuel Payment. - Underfunded the Scottish Parliament to the tune of £200m accounting for UK Parliament tax rises. - Demanded the Scottish Parliament reinstates the Winter Fuel Payment. They just don't get Scotland.

This is bullshit.

I simply cannot believe that the time available to MPs to debate a decision that could led to thousands of people receiving state assistance in ending their lives prematurely is… 5 hours. Nor that an argument currently doing the rounds in parliament to win over uncertain MPs is that we “already have” outstanding palliative care in the UK, so nobody fails to receive the best care. We do not. We are so, so far from it. UK palliative care in 2024 is a desperately under-resourced Cinderella service and this is causing untold avoidable suffering for patients who sometimes long to end their lives because WE failed to fund the care that might make life still worth living. Fix that first - please - then talk about assisted dying. Please don’t ignore or disbelieve what those of us who work in palliative care witness daily.

I once believed that the Israeli government's slaughter of civilians was indiscriminate. I was completely wrong. It is deliberate, massive and plainly genocidal.

Quite.

🗞️Midweek read! 🚶‍♀️The upper end of High Street sees hundreds of thousands pass by every year on their way to Glasgow Cathedral. It should be stuffed with independent shops and cafes. Instead traders say they've literally been left to rot. But, by who? glasgowbell.co.uk/glasgows-o…

That only people from a demographic can write about it. I think it's a pretty destructive pov. Btw the term 'leftist' is fucking bullshit too
As a leftist, is there anything you’ve seen that can be considered woke that you actually think is bad?

Weird how our associations are built up. Most people associate silent film as just amusing comedy & short films of trains

Tam Shepherds, a Glasgow institution since 1886, have closed their joke shop, believed to be the world's oldest, due to high costs and redevelopment in the area. The good news is their online shop remains open. I'm sure many of you have fond memories of visiting this wee place.

Google took it on by using the worst tactics of the crapware crowd. And now Chrome is everywhere & Google are using that market dominance to take control of your browsing. I still use Firefox
On November 9, 2004, Mozilla Corporation released a multiplatform web browser, Firefox 1.0. Firefox gained major popularity among users and exceeded 1 billion downloads between 2004 and 2009. #WebDesignHistory

It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them. While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change. And they’re right.

Maybe don't support genocide, and maybe try making people's lives materially better. Stuff like that. Maybe don't tell people they're wrong for caring about others
