Most US arcade collectors will not buy this cabinet and this sit down version almost never comes up for sale, but for me its pure nostalgia. This game came out in 1986 and I remember playing this game when I visited Japan around that time.

The US upright version of this cab has three 13" CRTs. This Japanese version has 19" CRTs. It's way bigger than the 6 player Xmen cab, which is already huge. It won't fit in most people's basements.

5 years ago, I tried working on this cab by this artist named Zad. It had like 1000 different pieces and I didn't know where to start. Now I'm trying again.
He quit this platform but I still remember being inspired by his daily posts.

Time Crisis 2 in Mame works well and gameplay is great, except the shading on character faces feels really off. I'm not sure if its supposed to look like that or if its a bug, but I just like the first Time Crsis art style a lot more.

For years I had this big dark desk, and it's finally driving me mad. My Bigscreen Beyond is black. My Index controllers are black. My phone is black. My tiny headphone is black. My drawing tablet is black. I can't find ANYTHING

I'm still a little confused, but it sounds like arcade CRTs in the 80s typically can do 240 lines (Paperboy, Narc were medium rez and can do more). Pacman is 224x288. 224 barely fits within 240 so little or no scanline gaps.

A 25" CRT running Street Fighter 2 I live a few minutes away from. What I see on this CRT are very faint gaps between scanlines that dim the colors slightly. From farther away, the lines are more obvious.

Just went to take photos of a Street Fighter cab at a local burger joint. A lot of fingerprints on the plexi. I guess I have to make the ones in Arcade Time Capsule more gross looking.
