We're creating a new National Center for the 3D Imaging of the Near Surface thanks to @arc_gov_au. This will provide Australian researchers with next-generation geophysical tools for high-resolution landscape mapping for archaeology, earth, enviro and forensic science. @Flinders

When I teach Principal Component Analysis (PCA), I use my interactive dashboard to engage my students. They can observe how, through an orthogonal transformation (rotation) of a two-feature dataset, the variance of the data projected onto one of the components can be maximized. I shared my #Python @matplotlib dashboard on #GitHub @ github.com/GeostatsGuy/DataS… ∀. #DataScience #MachineLearning

Archaeologists are great at digging up stuff & studying the past. But we’re not so great at sharing our work in a way that’s understandable, accessible & relevant to all. In my new article, I explore why this is & how we can improve PS @FlintDibble rocks doi.org/10.1080/03122417.202…
