The announcement basically implies that the Middle-earth game will be of the same level of ambition/scale as KCD2 at least. Wow.

Embracer groups quarter report stream from 4 hours ago stating: KC3 is a game, is in “Full Development” and the Middle Earth game is in pre-production, and that they hope to have KC3 in players hands in the next year.

Calling Colbert “the one living Tolkien expert who knows more about Tolkien than the Estate” is wildly uninformed. Most online Tolkien communities will have many people who are more knowledgeable, let alone actual scholars like Olsen, Fimi, Shippey, Flieger, Hammond & Scull, etc.
