Congratulations to one of the best leaders I have worked with and honoured to call a dear friend @PEAKMD ! Well deserved!
I am truly humbled to receive this award. FMWC has been the backdrop of my medical career; I joined in my first week of my first year medical student 40 yrs ago. I have been inspired, supported, mentored, sponsored by colleagues in FMWC, and share this honour with all of them.

This👇 article hits the mark. I presented a week ago at the Family Medicine Forum on moral distress and injury, compassion (empathy) fatigue, second victim syndrome, santuary trauma and institutional betrayal. There are many impacts at play in the work we do.

After taking tons of tests over the years, I have honed a study technique that works well for me. And hopefully, it works for you too! A thread on the study technique that got me through med school, residency, fellowship, and one of the hardest board exams I’ve ever taken:🧵📚

Been using ChatGPT this weekend w/ the kids and it’s amazing what it can do. Notwithstanding that, I personally don’t believe AI will eventually replace physicians. What’s much more likely is physicians who don’t use AI will be replaced by those who do. #techtwitter #MedTwitter

5 officers murdered on the job since Sept. How many more will there be? This is on all the politicians who refuse to address the actual issues. Spare the hashtags. It’s nauseating.
It is with an extremely heavy heart that I regretfully advise that #OPP Provincial Constable Grzegorz Pierzchala was killed today while courageously serving in the line of duty. Our hearts are with his loved ones and all OPP members at this tragic time. #HeroesInLife

Whether we agree or disagree on the state of 🇨🇦’s health system crises or the root causes and solutions, I will continue working with @CMA_Docs to improve your access to care and overall patient experience. We’ll all need the health system at some point in our lives. #cdnpoli

Hi @RobinMartinPC - I’m a peds ER doc. It sounds like you haven’t spoken with any staff on the frontlines of this crisis. You or your team are welcome to contact me if you want to chat. It’s hurtful to see you mocking a situation that scares us all (and we don’t scare easily)
This is what we’re dealing with at Queen’s Park…a health care parliamentary assistant who makes a mockery of the challenges in our system. #onpoli

Great resource for common cold. If you can manage at home, stay at home. Clinics and ERs are swamped. #coldseason👇 albertahealthservices.ca/ass…

Any athletes struggling with performance post COVID? Any tips? How long did it take you to get back to race shape? I was holding 4:15min/km interval run pace prior to COVID early June…now struggling with hitting 5:30.

I quit practicing law. The most common response is complete jealousy and awe. Followed up with questions about how a shift out of practicing might be possible for them also. Followed by every way the profession is toxic. My response: It’s never too late to follow a dream.
