Iran has hitched its fate to two countries undergoing occupation and genocide - Lebanon and Palestine - by a criminal pariah. This is righteous courage on steroids.

The ongoing attacks in the Middle East are deadly serious. The Israeli state has abandoned even the pretence of the so-called ceasefire with the Iranian state. We need mass movements to end ALL military aid to Israel, and we need leaders who will unambiguously fight for this demand. I am an independent revolutionary socialist running for Congress. I have two Democratic Party opponents in this race. One is 29-year incumbent Democrat Adam Smith, who has sent tens of billions of dollars for the genocide in Gaza. Smith is currently pushing for over a TRILLION NEW dollars for Trump’s wars. His new bill would ALSO merge the U.S. and Israeli militaries. The second Democrat in this race, Melissa Chaudhry, does not call for an end to military aid to Israel. The words Israel, Gaza, Palestine, and occupation DO NOT EVEN APPEAR on her website. She recently said to a Democratic Party audience that she will be a “team player.” This is how the Democratic Party operates: they give a choice between an openly-pro imperialist candidate, and a candidate who is running an establishment-friendly campaign and telling us she will be a “team player” with the rest of the Democratic Party. If the Democratic Party wants to stop Trump’s war on Iran, all they need to do is announce that they are fighting for a bill to cut off military aid to Israel and rally hundreds of thousands of ordinary people to support it. This would be HUGELY popular right now. But not only are Democrats not willing to do that, a majority of them, including Adam Smith, voted in December to give over $906 billion dollars for Trump’s wars. The Democratic and Republican parties both represent the war profiteering billionaire class. And individual politicians build their careers by trying not to rock the boat. I am not running to build my career. I am running because we need an antiwar fighter in Congress. We don’t need any more status quo politicians. We need someone who will DISRUPT business as usual. I am fighting for an end to all military aid to Israel, to end all weapons and tech for genocide and imperialist war, and slash the trillion-dollar war budget to fund housing and social services instead. #socialist #israel #iran

Neera Tanden has long been one of the most grotesque and deceitful operatives in DC. She runs a liberal think tank founded by John Podesta intended to be the shadow government for the Dem Party (CAP: @amprog), yet she refuses to disclose a single CAP donor, claiming Trump makes disclosure too dangerous. But even when CAP did disclose donors before it fabricated this excuse, it got massive million-dollar payments from dictatorships like the UAE, but still hid many of their largest individual donors with anonymity. And they fired staffers who -- in the name of transparency -- leaked donor information and UAE influence to journalists. Yet here is the same Neera Tanden demanding that low-level workers for campaigns that she hates disclose their payments because of how much she values "transparency"! How do these people not vomit when looking at themselves in the mirror knowing that they have no beliefs of any kind? Disclose your funders, Neera.

I do know leftists who would vote for Tucker. I don’t feel that way, but burying your head in the sand won’t stop Tucker from becoming president. And yes, anyone who defends AOC after her “tirelessly fighting” comment has no credibility as an advocate for Palestine. She can apologize at anytime and has thus far chosen not to.

AOC is right that there are important differences between her and @mtgreenee: 1) AOC emphatically condemns policies only when Trump and the GOP do them, gets muted and deferential when Dems do. By contrast, MTG criticizes policies with equal fervor regardless of which party does them. 2) MTG condemns GOP leaders when they betray their purported values, even risking her political career to do so. By contrast, AOC lies to protect Dems who betray their supposed values (Kamala "is working tirelessly for a ceasefire" in Gaza!), and has supreme devotion to partisan advancement and self-interest above all. 3) MTG introduced a bill to cut all US financing of Israel's military. AOC voted NO, arguing Americans should pay for Israel's "defensive weapons." Big substantive difference. 4) MTG scorns the AIPAC/ADL tactic of accusing Israel critics of being racist and "anti-Semitic." AOC embraces and fortifies that accusatory smear campaign to justify why only liberal critics like her are compassionate and legitimate and everyone else is just racist. 5) MTG only cares about results and outcomes, and will thus work with anyone (left or right) to stop a policy she considers evil and wrong. AOC only cares about posturing and her political branding -- not outcomes -- and will thus reject the opportunity to form majorities to stop stop some policy evil if it means admitting that not only Dems have good ideas and can be good people. AOC is the embodiment of privilege: having no real urgency about stopping things that don't personally affect her (like Israeli wars and US financing of them). That's why she has harsher words for GOP critics of Israel than she does for Dem supporters of Israel. This, and more, is why MTG was pushed out of her own party, while AOC has fully morphed into Nancy Pelosi Jr. and is one of the Democratic Party's most valuable partisan tools, and why she's beloved by Dems as such.
