The predicament Trump is in, and has been since he started the Iran War with Netanyahu, illustrates why it was so stupid and destructive to start this war in the first place. From the start, there were only two real options:
1) Take seriously all the stated war aims and try to fulfill them, which would require a protracted, self-destructive, devastating, years-long war of the kind Trump spent a decade vowing to avoid, or,
2) End the war quickly and prematurely, and then have to scurry around to find some way to claim that the US "won", which would -- at a minimum -- force Trump to credibly claim he got more than Obama's JCPOA gave, thus justifying all the massive bloodshed, instability and cost from the war.
If reports are correct (and it's a big "if"), Trump is choosing option (2). But his case that he actually won anything consequential beyond what the Obama Deal provided is close to laughable, while the losses to the US (and wins for Iran) are self-evident.

With Tulsi Gabbard's new revelations about US bio labs in many countries around the world including Ukraine, it's fascinating recall the bizarre series of events that gave rise to this controversy in the first place:
In May of 2022, some of us began asking whether the US had bio labs in Ukraine, what they were for, and why the US had them there. For asking those questions, we were instantly branded as "pro-Russian conspiracy theorists" in official Ukrainian intel reports, on our Wikipedia pages, by countless media outlets, etc. This was and remains one of the most bizarre episodes I've ever seen.
Before May 2022, when we asked those questions, barely anyone had ever thought about let alone asked about "bio weapons in Ukraine"! I certainly hadn't. Like most people, I had never mentioned a word about it because it had never occurred to me we had them there.
But then, Marco Rubio summoned Victoria Nuland to the Senate and asked her in a televised hearing under oath about these "rumors," clearly expecting her to immediately debunk them as obvious Kremlin lies and to proclaim the US had no such bio labs in Ukraine.
Instead, Nuland did the opposite! She *confirmed* key aspects of these "rumors," and she explicitly warned that the US has several "bio research labs" in Ukraine that are so dangerous that they must not be allowed to fall into Russia's hands.
When some of us heard Nuland's rather shocking admission -- the first-ever disclosure about these labs -- we of course asked: wait! what? Why does the US have bio labs in Ukraine, and what are the US and Ukraine doing in those labs that make them (in Nuland's eyes) so dangerous?? (Note: nobody ever suggested that the presence of these bio labs in Ukraine justified the Russian invasion; we just wanted answers about these US bio labs that Nuland had casually divulged).
We never got real answers. We got smear campaigns. To this day, our names are formally attached to claims that we spread "conspiracy theories" for asking about these labs even though it was Victoria Nuland herself who was the one who accidentally revealed them for the first time in a Senate hearing in response to a shocked Marco Rubio. They then quickly tried shutting down any questioning by pretending that Nuland never said this, and it was just a bunch of paid Kremlin mouthpieces who were spreading lies.
You see the same tactics now being against Tulsi for releasing this new intelligence report. Watch the Nuland testimony in question:

After scrambling and stumbling around for days, the US Government finally tried to re-write what Nuland had said and pretend it was mere a reference to a very benign and innocent joint US/Ukraine program to shut down old Soviet bio labs in a safe way.
That excuse obviously made no sense. If these labs were merely old Soviet labs and the US was just trying to safely shut them down, why would they fear them falling into Russia's hands? By definition, Russia already has old Soviet research technology and bio weapons.
Kudos to Tulsi for releasing this report on the way out. I still always laugh when I see this section someone inserted into my Wikipedia page as though I was the one who first mentioned this "bio labs conspiracy theory" rather than Victoria Nuland:

Will this perpetual whining, self-victimization and silencing campaign ever end? It's beyond pathetic.
CAA has sent a letter to the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells regarding a performance some weeks ago featuring comedian Jen Brister.
We had received deeply concerning reports from two Jewish audience members who attended the performance, who observed Ms Brister initiating chants of āF*** Israel, free Palestineā from the stage, encouraging the audience to join in.
The Jewish audience members have told us that the atmosphere became more like that of a rally than a comedy performance, and that the hostility and aggression elicited by Ms Brister from the rest of the audience caused them to fear for their safety, as a result of which they felt compelled to leave the theatre.
We have written to ask the venue to confirm its position on the performance and whether it will take steps with regard to safeguarding measures for audience members to prevent similar experiences from occurring in future.

āNBCās Matt Gormanā is an outrageous way to describe this man to NBC viewers when he has most recently been a registered foreign agent for the state of Israel.
That NBC doesnāt disclose that, and that they allow him on air to attack Platner, is exactly why normal people support Platner and want him to take a wrecking ball to this corruption.
Gormanās contract with the Israeli ministry of foreign affairs appears to have recently terminated, so perhaps this is a try out for a new one.
