I got seriously lucky with an author I’m already a big fan of ❤️ It also helps to keep one of those giant freelancer’s guidebooks on your shelf so you know baseline rates, esp as a newbie/fresh out of school. (Thanks @surelyanne for recommending the guidebook! Lifesaver ✨)

This film is a fully plagiarized, shot-for-shot remake of my comic. The filmmakers didn't ask me for permission to adapt my work. They didn't even notify me they were doing so until the film had already been released and was winning awards at film festivals.
