People who are advocating flat fee and outcome pricing for AI services: Bro, you don’t even get to see the data before you sign a contract. What flat fee and what are you basing your outcome guarantees on? 3 months pilot? inventing ways to negative EBITDA.

If you are consulting you are consulting. Own it. We do it differently. Consulting until we gain conviction. Flip it to a product that we then co-own with our clients. The outcome is that their cost becomes a cap table investment. Never been attenpter befote afaik.
with due respect this is a delulu distinction both in the problem statement ("I don't like the label 'consultant'") and the solution ("blah blah 20% vs 60%"). MBB routinely do 60% margin projects and they are the og consultants. secondly, enterprise buyers aren't idiots. they break down input costs and then negotiate. selling them on value is orthogonal to selling billable hours. sure if you're selling to small businesses this kind of obfuscation may work because they are inexperienced. maybe.

We built a version of this at Moative for internal use. Right now all business users have a common brains connected to every communication system and files we use. One more reason why we are cutting-edge.
Thing that should exist but (i think?) doesn't: - Shared company brain that you connect to any agent - Nice UI for viewing pages - Permissions / suggest changes mode - Versioning - Works with company SSO / RBAC - Also bundles connectors to tools Is this a thing?

While the source posts are interesting, the repetitive one-word quote tweets are a put off. They are not on-brand.
Interesting.

Is there a simple Claude-like UI to chat with hermes? I am not technical and it takes me 30 min each session to try and fail to get a web Ui going. I don’t like TUI. @Teknium please guide.

We need to go beyond asking what will happen to today’s industries and jobs. The answers will be bleak. We are moving from being a constrained species to a “Yes, can do” species. My model for kids will be… 👇🏻
Chatting with parents who want their kid to take Computer Science in 11/12th. I don't think most parents are even remotely aware of what's coming to IT in India. The next wave of Indian gig workers is not delivery folks. Its developers. Gig work as agent builders, automation consultants, workflow implementers, and 1-person dev shops. The transition will mirror a lot of the changes underway with large tech and enterprise companies (like banks) in the US already. Fewer generic jobs, lots of high skilled contract jobs. And the app store era will be back as the agent store era. Not going to be a cushy transition especially given current software salaries!

If I am running the government I will make tokens free for kids. That will help them learn to learn. If you are a parent get your kids 20$ plan for latest models. Let them study whatever. Get them to learn daily and do daily. They will be fine.

We will conquer planets and set up shop in moon within the next 10 years. Your kids will have unimaginably cool and new things to do. They will do fine.

So the real hope is that the next set of models cost ridiculous amounts of money to use and so they will solve cancer before obliterating your seo job. Pray.

Pick your category, find the historic priors in other industries, look for glorious ads from the best ones in that era. All on Claude. I am amazed how many ads they have crunched.

I will say this again. Assurance in uncertain future is still a defensible play for large software incumbents.
The “SaaS is dead” argument has two parts - features and assurance/governance. Feature SaaS is dead. Governance will be premium. But who owns it? moative.beehiiv.com/p/nobel-…

So does this mean alignment will be solved? @mtrajan
New Anthropic research: Emotion concepts and their function in a large language model. All LLMs sometimes act like they have emotions. But why? We found internal representations of emotion concepts that can drive Claude’s behavior, sometimes in surprising ways.

My industry analysis these days has a standard section: What happens to the business post-AGI. Invariably the answer (if you are starting now) is to not start a bits-only company.

Are we the last generation of truly talented brain workers? Today’s top engineer becomes 10x better with AI but tomorrow’s top engineer is just AI. The pipe is broken. Meanwhile the real plumber will keep fixing pipes.
