Discussions also examined global carbon market developments and emerging lessons for India’s CCTS, while a site visit to CEMEX’s Rüdersdorf cement plant provided a firsthand look at industrial decarbonisation in practice, including the EU Innovation Fund-supported CO2LLECT carbon capture and storage project. A key takeaway from the first half of the study tour: carbon pricing creates incentives, but dedicated finance mechanisms and technology deployment are often what turn ambition into implementation.
