In a major conservation achievement, forest officials in Sikkim have recorded the first-ever video footage of a herd of eight Mishmi Takins in Bakuchen under Tingda Reserve Forest.
Classified as Vulnerable by the IUCN, the rare high-altitude species is an important indicator of a healthy Himalayan ecosystem.
