A tonne of dry leaves and branches may be converted to 267 kgs of biomethane valued at $200. Lawn clippings, tree prunings, and crop wastes can also be converted to methane. 267 tonnes of biomethane may be converted to 133 kgs of green hydrogen. Cheaper than electrolysis.

👀 The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Mindanao caused parts of the seabed to rise by as much as 2 metres and the coastline has reportedly moved out by around 200 metres. The sudden uplift has exposed coral reefs, seagrass and marine habitats, leaving sea life stranded and causing damage to the underwater ecosystem. Officials found exposed coral and dead marine animals along affected areas. It’s incredible to think about the force needed to physically lift the seabed out of the ocean like this. 📷 DENR Soccsksargen

The biggest myth about environmental sustainability? "It's too expensive." The truth: Climate inaction is costing us billions in disaster relief, crop failures, and healthcare right now. Investing in renewable energy isn't a cost—it's a massive economic shield. 🛡️ #GreenEconomy

The old energy system sells dependence and a lifetime of bills. The new one builds resilience and abundance. ➡️ Rooftop solar ➡️ Batteries ➡️ EVs ➡️ Microgrids ➡️ Local generation The future of energy isn’t just cleaner. It’s more decentralized, democratic & resilient. #SWB

"We are losing biodiversity at a rate unparalleled in human history." Global wildlife populations have sunk over 60% since 1970. We are destroying ourselves and taking nature with us. Time to protect people and the planet. #ActOnClimate #climate #biodiversity #nature

"Big Australia" (population) has been in trouble from the start. There's nothing about this agenda which serves the existing people (yes, many of whom are migrants). Neither does it serve economic resilience, resource/food & water security, nor our atrocious environmental record. A handful of big business beneficiaries and that's it!

Why do so many want to move to Australia? We would argue that a prime reason is that we offer greater per capita space- ... space which is rapidly being consumed by the millions seeking space. Let's not go any further down the #overpopulation path. population.org.au/

We would not need to build homes on flood plains if we stabilised or population.
It's one of the last remaining rural paddocks in the heart of the bustling Gold Coast, but Carrara's much-loved cows could be headed for greener pastures. Developers have promised to find the herd a new home, so they can build a $3 billion wellness retreat.
