Busy day on Friday. 0900, gave a deserving SHES student a ride to school as his award for collecting the most food for Project PIN. Then at 1030 we responded with ET and HT196 to a kitchen fire in Danielson.

We responded to 3 simultaneous calls for service this evening (2154, 2159 and 2203 hrs).
2 ALS medical calls and an outside fire with over 100 people at the Tilcon quarry.

Tonight's training focused on remote water supplies for brush fires. Here our nimble portable pump draws water from the Quinebaug River up an incline to a simulated fire location.

This evening Atwood Hose Fire was dispatched for a structure fire in Moosup. The crew from ET196 assisted with overhaul, while the crew from HT196 stood by in case an additional water supply was needed. Units were released at 1945 hrs.

Two car MVA with entrapment this morning at 0739hrs. One patient transported with minor injuries. The other refused treatment at the scene. The airbags and supplemental restraints in both vehicles saved the operators from further injuries.

It has been a busy few days. We have been dispatched to two structure fires since Friday in Moosup and Killingly. We provided water supply at both fires with HT196. And assisted with suppression and overhaul with ET196.

Our 2025 Santa Run is complete. Time for the big man to head back to the North Pole to finish his preparations for the big day later this week.

At 1948 hrs this evening @AtwoodFire was dispatched as part of a 1st alarm structure fire response for a dwelling fire on Valley Rd in the Dayville section of Killingly. Atwood teamed with East Putnam Fire to make up the FAST team. Our crew was released after about 90 mins.

Our crew had a great time at the Shepard Hill Elementary School Trunk or Treat event this evening. The costumes were great and tons of candy was given out. Just don't tell your dentist. 😉
