Published in Brain: doi.org/10.1093/brain/awae25… Our new data suggest that anti-Tau immunisation works towards restoring homeostasis, presenting quantitative proteomics as a viable strategy to validate therapeutic interventions in preclinical models.

We are pleased to announce a new publication (Leinenga et al., Molecular Psychiatry 2024) from our team which shows in Alzheimer's mice that ultrasound on its own, without blood-brain barrier opening and in the absence of clearing amyloid, can improve cognitive functions.

Where does tumor antigen go after histotripsy? Our new Theranostics paper shows it complexes with DAMP(s), flows to the lymph node, and activates the cDCs that gobble it up. Critical info for optimizing FUS & immunotherapy. thno.org/v14p1647.htm @FUSFoundation @UVABME

Fundamental research is not driven by commercial/practical considerations, but by sheer scientific curiosity. This type of research has laid the foundations for many of today's most important innovations. Modern economies can't afford to invest exclusively in applied research.

The #FUSFoundation had its 2nd FUS-AD (#Alzheimer's disease) workshop since 2015 in Washington DC, close to the Arlington airport. Coming up with recommendations how to move the field forward and going home inspired. Thank you, #FUSFoundation.

Move over APOE3 Christchurch—a new protective variant has arrived. A point mutation in the ApoE receptor-binding Reelin enabled two siblings to stave off their autosomal-dominant #Alzheimers for 20 years past expected age of onset. @UdeA @MassGeneralNews ow.ly/vMkl50OpK6I

Just some new actin probe we are working on currently. Great for #live_cells, #confocal or #STED, no verapamil needed, low phototox and cytotox. (Here imaged over 48 h, every 30 s) #FluorescenceFriday
