McLaren literally had 3 formation laps to correct their Tyre issue - instead, they stayed with the inters while everyone had slicks. There was no impending rain showers, and they made the wrong call.
It seems like McLaren is in the habit of hedging their bets on a call that is opposite all teams in huge race altering decisions and losing.
The last notable mistake was in Qatar in 2025 when everyone pitted after an early safety car and McLaren stayed out to avoid the traffic in pit lane, and the gamble lost them the race.
Arguably, most felt Piastri should’ve won but finished P2 and Lando P4 and Max won. x.com/lowerlaptime/status/20…

I guess Juan is okay compromising his convictions for a generous paycheck. Either way, Max is right - that guy is irrelevant.
