Anyone investing private capital for carbon removal only (not utilization), is essentially taking a bet on future policies that provide a large market for their service. Everyone - investors, the companies, etc - better be financially prepared to wait for that policy, or figure out another source of sustainable revenue.

Good question. Today it would be pretty expensive - though likely less expensive than having to replace the entire cord! In a few years, it will be so inexpensive that it will make sense just to use Galvorn instead of copper for the conductor, obviating any motivation to cut.
