Ik this is a hot take but a redeemed living Vader could've worked, but only if: 1. He's kept in a prison temple where he meditates all day and gives force advice to jedi 2. He's only occasionally let out to deal with some large threat 3. The galaxy is aware he killed palpatine
What if Vader was saved on Endor? Do you think he would have helped build the New Jedi Order?

It'd be controversial as hell and a lot of people would call for his execution, but I think enough of the galaxy could tentatively get on board with the idea of him being used as a weapon against greater threats if he's kept imprisoned and him killing palps is widely publicized

And by "it could work" I just mean it'd be possible for a writer to pass it off without breaking suspension of disbelief. I haven't thought about the thematic implications at all lol

Not sure why they cut off the actual ending shot in this scene so fuck it I'll post the full version The atmosphere here is phenomenal. The music, the hand painted backgrounds and textures, the framing I really couldn't imagine a better ending to the Clone Wars if I tried.
The ending of “Victory and Death” (2020) is the moment THE CLONE WARS stops feeling like a cartoon and starts feeling like a tragedy. Years spent turning the clones into individuals, only for the final image to be rows of identical helmets in the snow.

This is how you do the "mythology" of star wars right Vader isn't here because it's so freaking epic and cool to see darth vader and hes such a heckin badass He's here to symbolize the end of an era and the distance between him and a particular person he knew from that era

Easiest ways to make a space feel cozy: 1. Warm lighting 2. Plants. Best option is pothos, low maintenance, never dies 3. As much wood stuff as you can get. Darker tones are better The ceiling here is doing a lot but the principles can be applied anywhere! Great room all around
my retro gaming room is coming along nicely #xbox

it is really funny that the Star Wars universe was ruled by a single government for twenty-five thousand years and then cycled through four different civil wars/transfers in power in two generations all because of one guy’s highly convoluted ridiculous plan

This might be the most retarded thing I've ever said but I think there's a non zero chance that tump wouldn't be president right now if the star wars sequels were planned out and good I'm thinking on insane levels of cultural butterfly effect here I swear it makes sense somehow

Is everyone saying "erm actually it was gamer gate" like, causality blind? Even if you disagree with me, which is reasonable, you should be able to understand the very basics concept of a causal chain. It's not just gamergate -> (nothing) -> trup 2024

Knowing star wras there probably already is some bullshit post-hoc explanation for this like "erm acktually his head has a piston in it that lets it extend upwards while his body sits below"

If Disney wanted to make sixty septillion dollars they'd build a star wars museum with displays for every vehicle, costume, prop ect and theme it as though it's in-universe with plaques explaining the lore behind each thing
FIRST LOOK at the life-size N-1 Starfighter inside the lobby of George Lucas’ new Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. Imagine walking into a museum and being greeted by a full-scale Naboo Starfighter. 🤯 The museum is set to open on September 22, 2026

It's fine to engage with fiction this way. Building worlds is fun and analyzing them is fun You just have to understand that it's secondary, it's not the point and is generally unimportant. It's fun nerd bullshit for fun If you view it as primary you've literally lost the plot
there was a tweet going around about this but people really don’t see fiction as storytelling anymore, they see it as objective reporting of actual events happening in other worlds. what does “losing to the plot” even mean? why are you even here?

If you wanna analyze the economic impact of hyperspace trade route layouts in star wars that's cool, you should do that if it's fun for you But if you think the plot should be beholden to that when the themes are better explored through something that ignores it, you're silly

The best world building will incorporate the story's themes and messages into the mechanics of the world, the world is used as a reflection of the reason the story exists to begin with. But that's incredibly difficult to pull off and not necessary for most stories

The problem with having an interest on twitter now is that it'll consume your entire timeline and that will be all you are forever until the end of time I like star wars but once I started posting about it and interacting with sw twit the glop shitto onslaught has been ceaseless
