"Juniors don’t JUST exist to become seniors... They challenge old assumptions, they poke holes in outdated practices, and... they take some of the cognitive load from senior developers who are otherwise drowning in meetings, context-switching, or some other soul-sucking corporate activity." @AwesomeCodeClub youtube.com/watch?v=DcJ53Eat…

Every morning, after checking my emails, I open YouTube. If I see a new video from @FireshipTech, @AwesomeCodeClub, or @LewisMenelaws, I watch that video first and then start my work. 😅

Nice short (under 10 min) video by @AwesomeCodeClub on the history of databases -- "I hope we can all agree that Microsoft Excel doesn't count as a real database." youtube.com/watch?v=6szdySvo… #databases #history #tech

"Since the web is neither as complex as game development nor as sensitive as the embedded systems, web developers have to create their own job security through useless complexity." Just hilariously @AwesomeCodeClub , best line I heard in a while

Me watching big tech channels fighting while the video I spent days making barely reaches 10k views.

Seriously? I have no idea who you are talking about or what those interactions were. But I'm concerned with the now, and in the now, this tweet and the original tweet are actively dissuading folks from creating content. "Programming advice" is bad now? Reacting to programming advice content that other people make is you live on @ThePrimeagen. Creators spend a ton of time creating in-depth videos, and then you spend just about as much time as it takes to read/react to it live, to repurpose and resell it on your own channel. I appreciate your style. But your style isn't the only style. And there are far larger channels than yours that are straight up educational content. It might come as a shock, but sometimes folks just want to learn about a particular thing. We are LONG overdue for a real talk about the tech content reaction video economy. In the meantime however, I strongly recommend that instead of trying to dissuade the creators from creating the content you live on, that instead you find a way to encourage and promote (in actually measurable ways) the creators you depend on.

When you lie yourself that you are happy with your "slow but healthy" sub growth, but then @ThePrimeagen likes one of your videos 🥲 Thanks for the shoutout!
