it's so funny because my dc brain is always on, so when i was watching this all i was thinking was how
"this is how the dcu martial arts has to be"
it needs to be something else from what we've seen in comic book films entirely. so knowing gunn loved this is good to hear

#TheFurious ROCKS.
It's such a homage to classic Hong Kong action cinema, it's very rare for me these days to see an action film that feels fresh and impactful but this one does.
But MY GOD the fighting choreography is unbelievable, the things they did in this movie is just incomprehensible. You can feel the impact of every hit and it's just absolutely exceptional. It doesn't hold back whatsoever and the cinematography's chaotic movement was just right to capture the scale of this, the colors also were pretty combined with the lowkey lighting. The film also carries a very cool score.
It's paired with a pretty solid story as well, while it's not anything innovative or special it perfectly compliments and sets up the action to shine just fine. However I absolutely (always) hate dubbing and the English felt so out of place in this, and I would've liked a bit more exposition to prelude the action but it's a fun time and I really liked this one!

I'm hearing there's a lot of deliberate misinformation going around regarding THE BATMAN: PART II to preserve the film's many secrets. I would not believe many of the rumors circulating at the moment.

Oh boy! Just went with a bunch of #ManofTommorrow cast & crew to see #TheFurious. I didn't think Kenji Tanagaki could outdo himself after the spectacular Walled In, but man The Furious really showed him as one of the best action filmmakers working. We all loved it!

the best thing that Gunn can do for Batman and the martial arts side of the DCU is bringing on filmmakers, and stunt/fighting choreographers from the Hong Kong side of action cinema like Japanese filmmaker Kenji Tanigaki who just made The Furious
