Before I built my Meta ads agency, I was working for one.
And during that time, I spent every moment I'm awake doing just two things:
Learning and working.
I didn’t care about anything else
I didn’t think about anything else
I didn’t do anything else
And for over a year, this was my life.
Some people might say I was suffering.
But to me? It was the time of my life man
When I was in school? I learned. But not what you’d expect.
During class, I was glued to my phone, devouring every piece of content I could find about media buying -- latest hacks, strategies, and frameworks
And then I consumed whatever I could from Burd, Mandalia, Elswyk, Firestone, Pitman, Waller, St Germain, etc.
But I didn’t just stop there. I also dove into copywriting, email marketing, and CRO soaking up lessons from the greats: Ogilvy, Caples, and Halbert.
When I was at home? I worked.
From the moment I woke up to the second I went to bed (and even while I was eating) I’d be:
- Checking ad accounts
- Digging into research
- Strategizing new ads
- Writing new ads
- Exchanging info with other advertisers
And when I was in the office? You guessed it.
I worked. And I learned.
That phase of my life was intense. But it was also the best opportunity I’ve ever had
It solidified my foundations so well that fast forward to today:
- I never have to worry about money again
- I’ve achieved things at my age most people wouldn't think was possible
- I have the freedom to live whatever life I desire
If I could go back in time, I wouldn’t change a thing.
Because that experience wasn’t just the start of my entrepreneurial journey. It was the start of everything.
I wouldn't be where I am today without it
And I will forever be grateful
