📍 Day 2 at the Edinburgh Clinical Trial Management Course! Trial managers are key - balancing communication, adaptability & complexities. Having worked in trial management, I know how rewarding it can be. Not sure if I’ll return after my PhD, but I love working in trials!

Such an informative keynote session from Prof @kamleshkhunti - health disparities are apparent across so many disease sites, but it’s encouraging that researchers are now making the effort to minimise them! #ictmc2024

After months of speaking with professionals in trials, a key takeaway: intersectionality is poorly understood and hard to implement. While inclusion is vital, we need simpler, practical ways to apply intersectionality in trials. More insights to come! #ICTMC2024 #ClinicalTrials

Does belonging to multiple disadvantaged groups = worse health? 🤔 My review shows that it does. This is why clinical trials must address intersectionality if we are to properly tackle health inequalities. #ICTMC2024 #PhD #ClinicalTrials #Intersectionality

We’re introducing a new policy that will require MRC researchers to consider diversity when designing clinical and preclinical scientific experiments. These changes aim to ensure research findings are relevant and beneficial to everyone in society: orlo.uk/yMbz4 1/

Intersectionality is a “buzz” word I’ve heard mentioned by many at @HSRN_UK, however it still feels like there is a long way to go to truly understand it’s impact in health services and research. My PhD work will hopefully be one small step in the right direction! #HSRUK2023

As we approach International Clinical Trials Day 2023, it's worth pausing to reflect that while many trials change lives for the better, a great many others are so methodologically weak that they simply represent research waste. jclinepi.com/article/S0895-4… doi.org/10.1186/s13063-022-0…
