Hey @AFL & @MCG. Good Dreamtime entertainment but would it have been too much to put the entertainers names on the scoreboard or the LED screens? You didn’t miss giving Coles a mention. #dreamtime#tigersBombers
Mabior Chol gets a possession. Time for the commentators to rush to demonstrate they do not know what ‘laconic’ actually means @7AFL@FOXFOOTY#AFLHawksCats
"Not in a million years!”
The trainer of former top hurdler Constitution Hill has shut down a Melbourne Cup tilt after his owner floated the idea earlier this year.

Hey @FOXFOOTY, there’s another game on simultaneously. We don’t need to know the NMvPA game is on at 12:30 tomorrow when you could show the score from a LIVE game. Fix the scorebug, it isn’t hard. #basic#commonsense
I can certainly relate to this. I wonder if there’s any way to correlate this with data in your very excellent polls @MusicBrownlow, eg is there a similar pattern in years in terms of numbers of votes cast somehow reflecting the age of people participating. #DataNerd
Looks like up until your 30s you keep introducing more artists into your listening circulation. Once in your 30s you reduce the number of artists you listen too. Do you just know what you like or do you stop exploring? Source has more cool charts on music preferences: statsignificant.com/p/when-d…
Hey @MCG I suppose we should be thankful that disabled parking in Yarra Park for @AFL has only increased 33% in 2026 after last year’s 50% increase. CPI is running at less than 4% by the way. #Extortion
$10 in 2024, up to $15 last year and now $20. Cashless entry so they can’t be using the hassle of change as justification. And remember most of the parking users are probably on fixed incomes or disability pensions
I think #AusOpen has reached the same point the VRC reached in 2004/5 when their obsession with Cup Carnival crowd size resulted in such huge crowds that it negatively impacted everyone’s experience. Then realised restricting crowds was a better outcome.
Tennis Australia boss Craig Tiley’s radical vision for the #AusOpen of the future has no chair umpires or other officials on court, more Hollywood star power and seating pods with food and drink delivered by drones that could sell for $20,000 a ticket. afr.com/companies/sport/no-u…
Have found that muting the words ‘Sydney to Hobart’, ‘race record’ and ‘line honours’ improves the quality of your feed on X markedly at this time of year. #HereToHelp
Shout out to @MCG for running the accessibility familiarisation event today ahead of the AC/DC concerts to help those of us with physical limitations to make sure we’re comfortable with access. Answered and addressed all concerns and your staff were so helpful and considerate.
Welcome to Melbourne @racingblogger. I’m probably twice your age but loving your content and the enthusiasm you’ve embraced this town with. Think you’re going to be blown away by the next week at Flemington.
Hey @OffTheBenchTeam, there is a challenger for Hodgey’s ‘sit back’. It’s Abby Gelmi…on Offsiders on the ABC she is always ‘moving on’ and there she was on CheapSeats tonight ‘moving on’ to each topic.
Playing Geelong at Geelong in a home game makes complete sense, albeit good to see Taxpayer Stadium being utilised more. Looking forward to @RichmondVFL playing home games against Carlton at Carlton and Footscray at Footscray. #SundaySarcasm
Yesterday, while playing for Blackburn, our own Daniel Wood took one of the greatest marks in the history of Australian rules football.
Don't believe me? Just watch...
Give him a car, a boat, a plane, the International Space Station - this is as good as it gets.
Don’t let the facts get in the way of a good story! AFL sold Waverley to Mirvac for over $100m. It was Mirvac who sold the oval & grandstand to Hawthorn for $1.
Waverley Park was infamously dumped in favour of Docklands. Now, it is back in the hands of the AFL. The league bought it back from Hawthorn today for millions more than they sold it for, more than two decades ago. youtu.be/JoagbYx-VY0@jacstanley7#7NEWS
