I'm super excited to announce that my new book, The Climate Change Resilient Vegetable Garden is out now. After teaching and writing on this topic for many, many years, I realised there was a need for an upbeat guide that provided hope and empowerment for the gardener, as much as the on-the-ground solutions for building resilience with all the challenges we face. This book very much channels my writing in the Guardian back in 2014 and has been a year and a half of love in the making. It features lots of money and time saving ideas and inspiration, as well as the ways to build resilience in line with the natural world. For person, plate and planet.💚 💚 💚 Thank you to the fantastic team at Cool Springs Press/ Quarto Group for all your support. @QuartoBooksUS

Was hoping to get footage of hedgehogs in the pond last night but quite happy with our resident fox having a morning drink. It’s very dry out there now so do please keep leaving out water for wildlife. Ta 💚

Gardening is the best de-stressing thing I know of. Spending time watching the wildlife in the garden is so uplifting. Nurturing a seed or cutting to a full blown plant or veg is magical. A pond or even a washing up bowl with water attracts so many creatures to watch & bring joy.

Isn't nature clever! There is so much beauty and biodiversity benefit when you step back and allow some veg to grow on and flower. Showstopping carrot flower pictured (and rocket to the left). I use rocket for cut flower displays, in salad and to decorate food. Magic! 💚
