Today, millions of working people will get a pay rise as the National Living Wage and National Minimum Wage increase.
New rates:
🔹 from £11.44 to £12.21 if you’re 21 and over
🔹 from £8.60 to £10.00 if you’re 18-20
🔹 from £6.40 to £7.55 if you’re under 18 or an apprentice

🚨ANNOUNCEMENT: we’re rolling out Winter Fuel Payments to pensioners in Tower Hamlets after we became the first council in the country to approve restoring this vital lifeline when it was cut.
I urge other councils to follow and call on the Government to reverse these cuts.
