With tomorrow being the last day of school for many students, parents & guardians: know the plan this summer. Know where your teens are, who they're with, set expectations, and stay connected.
A few conversations today can help keep our young people safe tomorrow. 💙

Yesterday, our School-Based Violence Intervention partners, @TheMovementTeam, hosted the Talk and Play Summit: Youth Violence and Summer Safety Panel Discussion.
Young people shared their perspectives on what safety means to them, created safety-focused slogans, and participated in conversations about conflict resolution, violence prevention, and community support.
After each act of gun violence in a Safe Streets catchment zone staff come together to deliver resources and spread the message that gun violence is not and should not be seen as normal in our communities.
That is what our teams came together to do yesterday evening in Park Heights following recent violence in the community, and how they will continue to show up for Baltimore. This work must continue and our message remains the same: Stop Shooting, Start Living.
🏫 In approximately 74% of school shootings, the gun comes from home or the home of a family or friend.
That’s why we’re promoting safe gun storage—because gun safety starts at home. Your gift will help spread the word!
