Almost 2 years ago, myself and another group of devs and tinkerers set out to get F150s and the Q4 platform shipped to release in @comma_ai openpilot. Yesterday, we were one step closer. Now supported in master, most Q4 Fords now "just work".

As we do everything we can to help the greater Los Angeles community, today @Ford is announcing some additional actions to help customers in the FEMA disaster area: Free electric vehicle charging: We’ll reimburse any electric vehicle charging initiated through BlueOval Charge Network accounts between Jan. 7-31, 2025. More NACS Adaptors: If you’re using your electric vehicle to power a home or support relief efforts and need a NACS adapter to charge on the SuperCharger Network, we’ve shipped additional NACS adapters to our local dealers. Replacing Home Chargers: If you lost your home in the fire and had received a home charger as part of the Ford Power Promise, we’ll replace and install your charger when the time is right. More info to come. Employee Pricing: If you need to replace a vehicle, dealers are offering employee pricing on select new vehicles for California residents affected by the fires. Payment Deferrals: If you’re a Ford Credit customer impacted by the fires, you can postpone payments as you deal with your more urgent needs.

Our hearts continue to be with those affected by the devastating fires in Southern California. @Ford has always shown up for communities, and we are committed to supporting our partners as they help rebuild the impacted communities. Today, @Ford and Ford Philanthropy announced two new grants to support the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation (@LAFDFoundation) and the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund (@calfund). We are also in close touch with Ford Philanthropy’s longtime partners – @RedCross, @FeedingAmerica  and @TeamRubicon – who are providing food, shelter and other forms of other on-the-ground support. They are doing an amazing job, and we are proud to support their work. We will continue to do everything we can to help and right now, our focus is on urgent, critical needs -- that includes helping to ensure the firefighters and first responders who are risking their lives are cared for and supported. Our thoughts are with the people of the greater Los Angeles area as they take on the long road ahead of them.

Let me explain why @comma_ai solution to ADAS is superior to all others on the market. I own every facet of it. I bought the hardware. I forked the code and made modifications. I own th outcomes (good and bad) from it. I own the entire thing (minus the model).

It may not do roundabouts or take exits on the interstate (yet) but owning it from cradle to grave is wonderful. I can craft the experience I want. I can even use old models that work well for me. This is truly the path forward.

@christooma @electric_jake @macheroadtrip Hey, guys. Can you maybe provide some insight? Just got Android Auto EV Routing in my Lightning. I was really excited but only found that it's routing me to *only* Level 2 chargers. Not a single DCFC on any route I've planned. Not usable

I think @Ford did something behind the scenes recently. Audio seems louder and more crisp in my Lightning maybe. Idk what they did but I love it.

Some other Ford devs got the hands free UI working with @comma_ai a few days ago. The ultimate flex. Hands free everywhere for a one time $1250. No premapped highways. User initiated lane changes. 24/7 advanced driver monitoring. Don't need Blue Cruise here.
