15 out of the 19 confirmed cases are imported from RD of the Congo; the 4 local cases are linked to provision of care for these imported cases.
The Ministry of Health is currently conducting active case searches, investigations, and tracing for all known contacts to ensure early detection and case investigation to guide surveillance interventions
All high-risk contacts identified through contact tracing go through a mandatory 21-day follow-up.

Movement restrictions have been established for travellers to and from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), with the exception of essential travel and cargo.
All crew members, security and humanitarian teams, and other personnel/categories exempted from the travel restriction MUST undergo the mandatory screening protocols at Entebbe International Airport, without exemption.
Robust inbound and outbound screening at the points of entry with a digital locator form.
Airline operators shall ensure that all passengers complete the official Passenger Locator Form at the point of embarkation before boarding for Uganda. The Form shall be completed fully and accurately through the prescribed QR code or electronic link provided in paragraph (d) below. Any airline operator found in contravention of this requirement shall be subject to enforcement action and penalties as prescribed under the applicable regulations and the Uganda AIP.
Humanitarian cargo flights arriving from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) shall not carry passengers on board. Any operator found in contravention of this requirement shall, at its own cost, immediately return such passengers to their point of origin and shall be subject to enforcement action and penalties in accordance with the applicable regulations and the Uganda AIP.
Intensified alert management nationally: In Uganda, the outbreak appears to be under controlnity and facility case-finding, alert and contact management, mortality surveillance, and border screening — concentrated in Kampala and Wakiso, where all confirmed cases have been identified.
