There's no question he understands the modern game. He also brings something that’s hard to teach: confidence, momentum, and a forward-thinking mindset. He connects well with players, embraces innovation, and recruits with energy. All of that matters in today’s college football landscape. But being a head coach isn’t just about drawing up explosive plays. The job gets much bigger at certain programs. It becomes about building structure, setting a foundation, managing staff, handling NIL, facing relentless media pressure, and keeping a roster and culture steady through wins and losses. Those things take time and experience to master. The question isn’t whether Kenny Dillingham is talented. He is. The question is whether he’s at the stage in his career where he’s fully ready for a program that is in need of not just a spark — but a rebuild. Some jobs don’t just require ideas or momentum. Arkansas fans, let’s talk for a second. Coach Bobby Petrino didn’t inherit a roster built to win defensively. We just didn’t have the talent. Guys weren’t sprinting to the football. The defensive IQ wasn’t there. And the tackling… good Lord it was horrible. Our defense were running toward the ball carrier, stopping short, breaking down, and missing the tackle instead of running through the offensive player like you’re supposed to. Let face facts, Quarterbacks were running through us and that’s the truth. Yet somehow, with the same pieces, Petrino has this defense making more stops than we’ve seen all year. They’re still chaotic at times, sure, but you can actually see a little more pride and effort now. That’s not luck. That’s coaching. The offense has struggled too nobody’s denying that. The turnovers have absolutely killed us. But Petrino can’t step on the field and play. That responsibility falls on the players. What he can control is preparation, and if you watch our opening drives, you can tell they’re ready. The plan makes sense. Execution doesn’t always follow, but that’s not on the head coach. Let's give credit where credit is due The Razorbacks total offensive yards are ranked 15th Nationally. Strip the emotions away and look at the scoreboard: we’re in almost every game. We went from looking lost early in the season to actually competing. We haven’t been blown out since Petrino took over. And let’s not kid ourselves if Sam Pittman had stayed in control, those blowouts would’ve kept coming. Bobby Petrino is an established coach. A proven program builder. Someone who genuinely wants to be at Arkansas. Bringing in another “up-and-comer” only resets the same cycle we’ve lived through for over a decade: 1. rebuild 2. excuses 3. disappointment 4. fire the coach 5. repeat. We’ve been doing that for 13–14 years. Petrino had us in the National conversation, When he was here his first stint Arkansas was legitimately in position to compete for a National Championship. We haven’t sniffed that since 1964. That’s how long it’s been, that's over 60 years!!! Arkansas Razorback fans are the kind of fans who ride together through thick and thin. So let’s do that. Instead of chasing hot names or finding the next unproven up and comer, let’s get behind the coach who has actually moved the needle with the exact same roster. Give Bobby Petrino the opportunity. Give him the job. Give him the keys.
