Ang klaro naman ng statement nila na yung pag-step up nila ngayon is for a bigger purpose. Sabi nga ni Jov, “last stint na nila ang AVC.” Kaya sana maghunos-dili muna yung mga hindi na makapaghintay na umalis sila sa National Team.
And like I said before, I really see the current lineup as temporary, especially yung involvement ng veterans. Gets din naman nila na mas magiging solid ang National Team in the long run if the young talents are the ones being developed and given consistent exposure. Kinailangan lang talaga nilang mag-step up because of the situation.
Sobrang close call lang talaga ng AVC given the time constraints and all the issues unfolding behind the scenes. Kaya understandable din na naging emotional si Alyssa Valdez. Seeing her tear up just showed how difficult this whole situation was for her too.
Pero malinaw naman yung focus nilang lahat—isang maayos at sustainable na programa para sa mga bata.
As much as gusto ko ring ma-retain ang core ng 2025 Alas and just revamp it with a few additions and reductions, feeling ko sobrang far-fetched na nun ngayon. What I see happening is another selection process for the next tournaments, this time with a stronger focus on developing young talents.
I just hope the Philippines won’t waste talents like Belen, Canino, Nitura, Laput, and many others. Sila yung future ng Philippine volleyball, and they deserve a system that will truly help them reach their full potential. 🤞🇵🇭
