Representing Uganda on the Global Stage in Childhood Cancer Survivorship
We are proud to share that two members of our team, Dr. Derrick Bary Abila Derrick (
@BaryDerrick ), Head of Research Program, and Ms. Priscilla Nambalirwa (@NambalirwaP), recently represented the Uganda Child Cancer Foundation (UCCF) at the 5th International Symposium on Late Complications after Childhood Cancer (ISLCCC), held in Genoa, Italy, on June 4–6, 2026, at the Porto Antico venue.
Alongside world-leading experts in childhood cancer survivorship, our team presented the work UCCF is doing right here in Uganda ensuring that children who survive cancer go on to live full, healthy, and dignified lives.
We are especially delighted to celebrate Ms. Nambalirwa Priscilla, who was awarded the Certificate for Best Oral Presentation at the symposium. 🏆
This recognition is a testament to the quality of research and advocacy being carried out in Uganda and a reminder that African voices and African data belong at every global table.
Congratulations, Priscilla, you have made UCCF and Uganda proud.
