Bittensor will force closed source companies to open source.
Companies will have 2 options, either they:
- open their own subnet and benefit from it as the owner
- ignore what's coming and at best become a miner with no guarantee they'll get paid or simply become irrelevant.

I don't think they'll catch up or at least not anytime soon. However they will never get shut down.
I'm starting to think that bittensor:native is a 1-2 year bet, not a EoY hold
Realistically open source will need 1-2 years before it catches up to these massive frontier AI companies
The "Bitcoin of AI" is the perfect brew of talent to make that happen, but it needs time to do it

The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

Please stop being exit liquidity for subnet owners who haven't done anything. I count only 1 of these subnets that has a usable product and an excuse to not be working on their subnet repo, and its price is extraordinarily low relatively.
