Le 30 juillet 2006, il y a bientôt 20 ans, agenouillé dans l’église Saint Nicolas du Chardonnet (Paris), devant Mgr Tissier de Mallerais, le pasteur luthérien Sten Sandmark a accomplit le rite solennel d’abjuration par lequel il a renoncé publiquement à l’hérésie protestante et embrassé la foi de la véritable Église, une, sainte, catholique et apostolique. Avant sa conversion, le pasteur Sandmark s’était adressé à l’évêque catholique de Stockholm pour lui faire part de son désir d’entrer dans la seule Église fondée par Notre-Seigneur Jésus-Christ. Mais celui-ci, dans l’esprit de l’œcuménisme du concile Vatican II, lui conseilla de demeurer luthérien tout en étant « catholique de cœur ». Selon l’évêque, il pouvait ainsi exercer une forme de mission au sein du monde luthérien. Depuis sa conversion, puis plusieurs années d’études au séminaire de Zaitzkofen (Allemagne) de la FSSPX, au terme desquelles il fut ordonné prêtre, l’abbé Sandmark se consacre à la diffusion de la Tradition catholique dans sa Suède natale ainsi que dans l’ensemble de la Scandinavie. laportelatine.org/actualite/…
