#StillDoinCDs After hearing Beau Dixon (@BeauSlips) play @mcctoronto, I found his bandcamp page & also this copy of his 1998 CD ‘Detroit Folk.’ This soul-influenced alt-folk-funk-rock is particularly luminous, quite a discovery imho, with ‘Giving It Up’ as especially top-echelon.

Today I needed to feel good about myself. I needed reassurance that I’m still ‘on par’ with my gut instincts. So, I called five friends that I knew wouldn’t pick up. I feel better now.
