Absolutely disgusted to hear about Sycamore Gap this morning & that someone has chainsawed down this beautiful tree. I literally cannot understand why someone would do something like that.

1. This has nothing to do with Brexit. We obviously had the power to change taxation when in the EU
2. Despite these changes, UK alcohol duty will still be much higher than the EU average

I want to protect the price of your pint at the pub.
And now the UK has left the EU, we can do just that.
So we’re bringing in one of the biggest shake ups to the alcohol duty system in the last 140 years.
