… to make sure we were never an afterthought. Every time I hear him talk about working to involve PGRs in TEDx events, or protecting holiday hours at the library when PGRs can and do a lot of their research, I wish I could have waited a little bit longer to become a Dr.

We’ve found the Book of Hours captured by Holbein in his famous portrait of #ThomasCromwell! Cromwell’s book is one of the few objects depicted in a Tudor portrait to survive. @TracyBorman has dubbed it “the most exciting Cromwell discovery in a generation - if not more.”

Once upon a time I did some statistical work for a Policy Thinktank, showing that the Scottish Higher Education sector has shown a clear trend over the last two decades of accepting Overseas fee-paying students to the detriment of Scottish and RUK student places…

U.K. university bosses now demand fees be almost trembled to £24,000 p.a. Students are already coming away with debts of almost 70k, amongst highest in the world. No fees in Denmark, Finland. Ireland is reducing fees over coming years (from about 3k current).
Unbelievable greed.
