Associate Professor Evangelia Bellas received a grant from CASIS and NSF to send a project from @BellasFATLab to the International Space Station!

We have adiposely outdone ourselves with FAT-tastic ๐ painting. Nicole was inspired by collagen matrix fibers surrounding the eye-dipocytes with an endothelial lined smile. Julieta went for a classic spooky face behind a well vascularized adipose tissue w/resident macrophages.
Trisha went for a more artistic approach to painting fat cells. While I tried my hand at our logo and fat on chip model - w/both blood โจ and lymphatic โจvessels carrying their essentials in the form of glitter โจ
