Westbound Interstate-780 at East 2nd Street is closed currently due to an overturned tanker truck. Emergency crews will be on-scene all day due to the crash. We have requested the Solano County Hazmat team to respond and @ChpSolano is investigating the incident.

Yesterday morning, a water main line break was detected on East 5th Street. City of Benicia Public Works crews worked around the clock to repair the line and restore water to affected residents this morning. Thank you to our dedicated crews!

Early this morning, there was a water main break near the 800 and 900 blocks of East 5th Street. St. Dominic's School and homes in the area are currently without water (see map of affected area). Public Works has begun working on the repair to restore water service ASAP.
