Over a half hour on the phone last night. An hour and a half on the phone today (and a flight credit they still couldn't figure out how to apply). Constant AI roadblocks. @Delta gets a failing grade for customer service this weekend.
How wild is this? Joe Bob is a foundational part of my creative DNA. I'm a horror writer in part because of the movies he fed me. Thanks so damn much, @therealjoebob , for being part of this project.
Hey, gang. The graphic novel -- Punisher: Red Band (collecting issues 1-5) -- hits comics shops and bookstores everywhere today. @JuliusOhta absolutely killed it on the art. Yen Nitro ruled on colors. And @MChecC gave us this iconic cover.

The light had its turn.
Marvel Comics introduces Midnight, a bold new publishing line from a superstar lineup of creators, kicking off in August with ‘Midnight X-Men’ by Jonathan Hickman and Matteo Della Fonte, followed by ‘Midnight Fantastic Four’ by Benjamin Percy and Kev Walker and ‘Midnight Spider-Man’ by Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Scie Tronc.
Marvel’s most definitive modern creators are given free rein to reimagine heroes with shocking twists and chilling transformations in boundary-less storytelling that will keep readers on edge issue after issue.
The X-Men no longer fight for acceptance, they hunger for blood. The Fantastic Four venture into the unknown not to save the world—but to unleash terror upon it. And Spider-Man discovers that with great power… comes something monstrous.
I’ve been reading @EllenDatlow ’s Best Horror of the Year anthologies for many, many years. I’m so honored to finally make the (sharp, deadly) cut with my story “Fear of the Dark” (which first appeared in the Night & Day collection). Coming soon. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
Befitting the line’s ominous aura, the main covers of the Midnight titles will be Cloaked Covers, partially obscured with the full artwork revealed with a turn of the page.
With the exception of the debut issues, the full artwork will remain shrouded in shadow, only revealing itself to readers daring enough to pick them up on stands.
Every writer (reader, editor, agent, and publicist) should have the Mountain Words Festival on their radar. They not only have an all-star roster of presenters, but you get to enjoy Crested Butte, a jewel of a town with trails and mountains all around it.
