Deeply disappointing to see @scotgov support such an illiberal policy. This isn’t about protecting kids, it’s about legitimising ID linked social media for adults. It’s an attack on an open and free internet. Like banning phones in schools, this is just poor policy-making. 😔
We are urging the UK Government to go further and act quickly to protect children and young people online.

At 17 I was travelling internationally on my own - but too young to manage my own social media usage, apparently.

Anas Sarwar to the SNP this afternoon: If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear Every Labour MSP then voted against the Green proposal for a review covering the finances of ALL political parties (it passed anyway). Do Team🥀 have something to hide/fear?

Promises made, promises delivered. Aberdeen’s new GP walk-in centre will open on 23 June - the seventh in Scotland, and we will open another four within the first 100 days of this government. We’re making it easier for you to see a GP and ending the 8am rush.

The scenes we saw in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Ayr last night are unacceptable. Scotland is a welcoming nation and those who choose to make their lives here are valued members of our communities. Racism, hatred and intimidation have no place in Scotland. We must stand against it.

It will never not be extremely funny that Scottish Labour were handed the easiest possible route to power and instead decided to have their worst ever election result

Are calls really 'growing' for an inquiry, or is it still the same coalition of defeated parties, bored journalists, and crackpot conspiracy theorists?

These serial election losers don’t know what angle to exploit next. Absolutely desperate for one of them to catch on. They were convinced this would finally bring down the SNP. Instead, the SNP is still more electable than they are. And they can’t believe it.

"The SNP are a secret unionist plant to stop Scottish independence" declare some 'indy supporters' as they back everything the anti-Scottish indy press and the staunchest of anti-independence British nationalists say about the SNP.

The frankly unhinged media and political commentary around Murrell's actions are symptomatic of a more serious issue. As SNP's opponents lose hope of ever winning, they (and media out of boredom) seek to undermine Scottish Institutions: Parliament, Law etc. That's more insidious.

This is precisely what @ConnorGillies knew would happen. If folk started giving interviews when faced with this kind of threatening harassment, we'd effectively see the end of press conferences. Thuggery, even when carried out by self-righteous journalists, cannot seen to be work

Reminder: journalists are one of the least trusted professions in the country for a reason. This is why. 👇
Journalists are doing their job. Nicola Sturgeon is happier when she can carefully control the narrative and isn't challenged on her version of events It's why she no commented her cop interview and issued a written statement instead. Avoiding challenge is not scrutiny.

Women don’t answer to the crimes of men. The way @NicolaSturgeon is being treated by the media, hounding her to answer for crimes she has been cleared off after an extensive multi-year investigation is shocking and misogynistic. Let her live her life in peace.

Utterly disgusting behaviour. Is it any wonder journalists in this country are so distrusted by the public? Gutter journalism!
