Look closely - and start your weekend with a smile! This is one of my favourite little views, over the gate to the hills, and I always stop to admire it when I pass. On this particular morning, as I stood here smiling at the scene, this lovely lady wandered over to say hello. We had a chat and I pressed the shutter ... but it wasn't until I got home and looked closely at the image that I realised she'd been smiling back. 😁

It was very misty here in Glastonbury at sunrise. I managed to get a quick phone pic of this very vivid Brocken Spectre around the shadow of St Michael's tower. I have seen them before up there but not as vivid in colour as this one.

This sunset had very muted colors given it was basically a clear sky. So then the challenge was to find something in a pretty uniform beach that stuck out or contradicted the surroundings.

Plants commonly known as “cranesbills” are so called because their long, pointed seed pods were thought to resemble the beak of the long-legged wading bird, the crane. The name inspired botanists to call the genus “Geranium” from geranós, the Greek word for crane. #FolkloreSunday

I just got home to Ajax after five days away, and look how much he has changed! Time replaced my scruffy little chick with a handsome and majestic bird.
I missed so much of his childhood: Five days for me is like ten years for him. Now I know how the father from Interstellar felt 😭

Good morning you gorgeous bunch. Sunday morning, the sun is shining and dancing on my ceiling as it reflects off the canal. I’ve cooked and eaten my salmon and scrambled eggs. I didn’t photograph it this morning as that would just be spoiling you. I’ve got a photoshoot today at a church. You lot on the other hand, will probably be lying in bed most of the day.
