Hi guys, I wanted to refrain from posting this on here but now I feel like I have no choice. If any tech people can help me it would be much appreciated. About 6 months ago - I retweeted a business post from my business account which contained my office number and mobile number. A series of abusive calls started - to the point where there were graphic calls of a sexual nature that left my administrator in tears. Then came the calls to my mobile - to date 100 . For context, I have blocked the withheld numbers to my office but I need to take them on my mobile as we get calls for Olivia for her hospital appointments, physicians, consultants etc so we can’t miss the calls. I have told the callers this but they don’t care and carry on. They admitted to getting my number from here. The calls continued at all hours - one call came into the office demanding money saying I owed them £7000 for an invoice to which caused further distress to my staff and disruption to my business. Then when I stopped answering the calls they made the mistake of calling me showing their numbers both my my office and mobile. Same voice - same abuse. Instead of retaliating I saved the numbers and alas 2 weeks later a face appeared on one of the numbers WhatsApp profiles. I then called the person, messaged them and challenged them. It was a Wolverhampton accent and of course they denied everything. Their excuse was: - ‘I know nothing about it - my number must have been cloned’ my question is techy people - can someone call and WhatsApp message off someone else’s number? - then when they knew the game was up - they told me that they had lost their phone at Molineux so it could have been then. Furthermore, during the call the caller got very personal asking questions about Olivia and her condition. Then asked if they could do electrical work at my home. I have recordings - I have witnesses (Aimee my wife) and they have also left voicemails so I have their voices. I have contacted @WMPolice and @StaffsPolice who are LESS than interested as no crime has taken place despite them also leaving literature at my place of work and damaging my car. If I have to take matters into my own hands I have Photos - Phone Numbers and even the name of the one person plus his employers details after he gave me his full name (or purported it to be). When I spoke to the person after he had left his number in error - he admitted he had been in trouble with the police before. I now have no idea what to do- I just want the calls to stop. I am though prepared to put the persons photograph and phone numbers connected with him on here if they continue. This is today’s haul ….
