It is finally out...... Now everyone can compute the optical absorption properties of their favorite material "dressed" by arbitrary drive laser intensity and photon energy and observe Floquet replicas in solids. Together with @BingGu8 @FrancoGroupUofR journals.aps.org/prb/abstrac…

Here is an animation showing #polariton formation: an exciton (electron-hole pair) recombines into a photon, which bounces on the cavity mirrors until reabsorbed to form an exciton. The process repeats to form a superposition of photon and exciton states: an exciton polariton.

Very first paper from the Lin Group! Did not tweet earlier while waiting for @JPhysChem. Ths to the hard work from @Chengwei_Ju and @_ethanfrench!
Stacked ensemble machine learning reconstructs molecular-specific range-separated hybrid functional. ML-ωPBE reproduces range-separation parameter and optical properties produced by OT-ωPBE but reduces computational cost by three orders of magnitude. fal.cn/3j37g

Having searched and failed to find as a postdoc any potential gain in molecular spectroscopy due to squeezing, seeing these experimental realizations of early theory by K. Dorfman and S. Mukamel is very exciting. Bright and squeezed future ahead! pnas.org/content/118/33/e210…

how easy life can be if we all make our code reusable (in my opinion, easy to adapt, modulated, and readable) to others.
Your code might be reproducible, but is it reusable? We discuss the importance of making research code reusable in our latest editorial. #reproducibility #reusability nature.com/articles/s43588-0…
