The future is rarely singular—or settled.
At @NUQatar we confidently grapple with uncomfortable questions. Hence our latest @themediamajlis exhibition, “What’s between, between?” invites visitors to ponder the uncertainty of the future. A must-do if in Doha btw now and June!
Media Majlis Museum represented Qatar's cultural journey at ICOM Dubai 2025.
We joined ICOM Qatar to showcase the country's evolving cultural landscape, where museums create spaces for everyone, inspire new generations of thinkers, and connect heritage with tomorrow.
We delve into @themediamajlis's exhibition, "Ai or Nay? Artificial vs. Intelligent," with curator @Bintaylor who explores how AI, often presented as a utopian solution, is also a tool of surveillance & violence in the #Arab world.

Memes get measured in Qatar: Inside Media Majlis’s new show | Media Majlis at Northwestern Qatar opens Memememememe, a new exhibition on meme culture, running to 4 December 2025. Key works, hours, and UAE timings.
The ‘Memememememe’ #exhibition is now open at the @themediamajlis Museum, Northwestern #Qatar (Sept 1–Dec 4, 2025). Curated by Jack Thomas Taylor and Amal Zeyad Ali, the exhibition explores the cultural power of #memes, examining how they spread, mutate, and shape identity. Set in a laundromat-inspired environment, the exhibition reflects the endless cycles of meme circulation and meaning-loss, featuring works from artists across Qatar, the #UAE, #SaudiArabia, #SouthKorea, the U.S., and beyond. It also highlights artworks and new commissions from regional and international artists, examining memes as ideological tools that shape identity and digital #culture.
Memes may seem like fleeting jokes scrolling past on screens, but at Northwestern University in Qatar’s (NU-Q) Media Majlis Museum, they are the subject of an innovative exhibition that explores their deeper cultural, political, and social weight.
