🆔Starmer's plans for child-locked devices is a Trojan horse for digital ID "The only way to escape Starmer’s Great British Firewall and get regular internet access is to undergo a digital ID check on the device to register yourself as an adult user. Convenient, perhaps, for a Prime Minister who has failed to get a digital ID system through the front door" - @silkiecarlo

🇬🇧 Not to alarm anyone, but the UK wants to scan every photo, video, and message on your phone before it's encrypted. Tech CEOs who refuse to comply face up to 5 years in prison. They're calling it a safety measure. It isn't. Pre-encryption scanning means governments can see everything before you've even sent it, and they can expand what gets flagged whenever they want. The track record here is brutal. Europe's age verification app was hacked in under 2 minutes. Over 70,000 IDs and selfies were exposed in a separate breach. These are the people who want access to every device in the country. Once the infrastructure exists, no government in history has ever chosen to use less of it. Source: CSOOnline / Writer: Jamie

South Wales Police have shelved their proposed “anti-Muslim hostility” guidance following the threat of legal action from the Free Speech Union. The force has written to the FSU confirming that it has pressed ‘pause’ on controversial plans to log comments deemed to go beyond “legitimate” discussion of Islam. That would inevitably have included criticism of the hijab or halal food. More concerningly, it would have deterred people from speaking out about issues such as the grooming gangs scandal and Islamist extremism. Under the proposal, anything deemed to go beyond “legitimate” discussion of Islam would have been recorded as an “anti-social behaviour incident” — the successor to the draconian non-crime hate incident. Such records can appear on enhanced DBS checks, potentially preventing people from securing employment, particularly in professions such as teaching or care work. South Wales Police were also referred to the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) by Shadow Equalities Minister Claire Coutinho. The FSU’s General Secretary, Lord Young, said: “Blasphemy laws were repealed in this country 18 years ago, and we will do everything in our power to stop them being brought back through the back door.” Let this serve as a warning to any other public body considering the introduction of its own Islamic blasphemy law — especially police forces: we will challenge it. The UK government spyware demand means that the government decides exactly what should be censored on every mobile device. They say they will start with nude pictures (if you don’t identify yourself as an adult). But it could at any time be expanded to anything the government disapproves of. Today, 30 people are arrested every day in the United Kingdom for writing something online that the government classifies as "grossly offensive". It is obvious that they will use this tool to restrict free speech. Currently, there appears to be no requirement to report findings outside the device. However, with both legal and technological decision-making power taken away from individuals and transferred to the government, that is only a pen stroke away. This means that the government could also use this system for total mass surveillance. And they can do so in secret. The government recently, in secret, tried to pressure Apple (which is now agreeing to client-side scanning) to build backdoors into its end-to-end encrypted cloud service. They can do this under the Investigatory Powers Act 2016, also known as the "Snoopers' Charter" – a law that makes it illegal for tech companies to disclose secret demands from the government.

The AI data center boom is exposing what bitcoin miners have argued for years: flexible load matters on an increasingly stressed grid. From @DSBatten

Seeing the sort of laughable ideas that get oxygen in echo chambers such as Reddit makes me grateful that I spend my time on X. Imagine launching a petition to ban a technology that 30 peer reviewed papers have said is an essential part of the green energy transition

Some good news for a change... 👏 #FSU
📣🚨 FSU Victory!! The Free Speech Union has just heard from South Wales Police that it has withdrawn its guidance on “anti-Muslim hostility”. The force had effectively adopted its own Islamic blasphemy law, instructing officers to record any conversation that went beyond “legitimate” discussion of Islam. Under this guidance, criticism of Islam could have been recorded as an anti-social behaviour incident and potentially appeared on DBS checks, affecting someone’s ability to work as a teacher, carer, or in other regulated professions. South Wales Police has backed down because the Free Speech Union threatened them with a judicial review if it chose to press ahead with the policy. The force has described this move as a “pause” to the guidance — but we think it is highly unlikely to return. We must also thank Shadow Equalities Minister @ClaireCoutinho for referring South Wales Police to the Equality and Human Rights Commission after we brought this issue to her attention. Blasphemy laws were abolished by Parliament 18 years ago. We must not allow them to return through the back door. Let this be a warning to any other public body — particularly police forces — considering the adoption of its own blasphemy laws. Watch Lord Young below 👇

👁 77 years on and the UK gov is out-Orwelling Orwell. Online speech crackdowns, digital IDs and VPN restrictions. Thoughtcrime is real in 2026 Britain. The book was right all along. CBDCs next? 👁 #1984
George Orwell’s 1984 was published today in 1949. “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”

Caller claims he understands monetary economics but wants to print away the debt. That’s exactly how hyperinflation starts. Most people in the UK are economically illiterate and fall for this nonsense. Ask Weimar or Zimbabwe. 💸💸💸

'If the government prints the money, pay the debt off!' Caller Phil is convinced he has the solution to wiping out the UK's £1 trillion debt. @NickFerrariLBC isn't so sure.

Well, I did warn that Zcash ($ZEC) was developed from technology originating at Tel Aviv University, involved a venture-funded private company that charged a 15% founders’ tax on mining, had prominent Zionist investors such as Barry Silbert, and relied on assurances from Zionists such as Peter Todd that the keys had been destroyed. Based on those factors, I viewed it as a questionable Mossad honeypot. You can search my history for warnings about this one.
JUST IN: Zcash crashes 48% after Claude AI finds critical vulnerability allowing unlimited minting of $ZEC. It went unnoticed for 4 years until it was patched on June 1st.

🇬🇧 🏦 I feel more and more like the UK Government has become a hostile entity to the British people. It is not governing for us, it is working against us. Actively hostile to British businesses, families, and success. This isn’t incompetence. It’s deliberate. 🤔 📉 #BrokenBritain #UKGovernment

I gave my son a summer job last year because he couldn't find one otherwise. I kept him on in case he needs work this year Now I have to file monthly returns to HMRC saying I'm not paying him at the moment They set debt collectors on me because they assumed with zero evidence I would pay him the same every month. I ignored the debt collectors as they'd never get a court order to enforce a debt that didn't exist Now the pensions regulator is demanding I prove he doesn't need me to start a pension for him. How did they know I had employed him? Probably from HMRC.... So why don't they also know he didn't earn enough to pass the threshold These people are out of control It's hard not to see the state as my actual enemy these days rather than an inconvenience to be navigated

⚡️ Sticking to the plan. Nothing has changed. This is the discount window that many expected. Stay calm and stack Sats. #DCA #Bitcoin
⚡️ Every ~4 years, #Bitcoin seems to hand us a classic discount window, and we're in one right now. Down about 50% from the 2025 highs, this post-halving correction is unfolding like clockwork. No one knows exactly where the bottom is (and I expect it to go lower), but steady DCA'ing over the next 6 months feels like a smart way to secure a strong average entry for the upcoming cycles. Just my opinion, NFA, DYOR! #DCA #SoundMoney

🇬🇧 Deeply worried about where the UK is heading. As someone who was once on the left, I see two tier policing, record immigration, and clear signs of economic collapse, and that's far from all. It feels more and more like the state and its institutions are no longer on the side of the British people. We're sleepwalking into chaos and division. 💔#TwoTierBritain #BrokenBritain
THEY REFUSED TO STOP AXEL RUDAKUBANA BECAUSE HE WAS BLACK Absolutely horrific They didn't want to "racially stereotype him" These people belong in prison

The reason I don’t have a course on retiring early is because my entire strategy fits on a sticky note: DCA into Bitcoin. Ignore the noise. Stay employed. Be patient. Repeat for years. Nobody wants to hear that because it’s too simple. People prefer complexity over consistency.

So It'll get worse under Burnham. #TaxedToDeath @UKLabour
Andy Burnham is refusing to abandon Labour's strategy of taxing productive people in order to pay benefits to others. His favourite tax hikes include: Increasing the top rate of income tax Introducing a tax on land (the garden tax) A holiday tax A new tax on death, supposedly to pay for social care. Back in 2023 he argued that Labour should commit to higher taxes, saying: Labour “won’t be able not to raise the issue of tax”.
